Itinerary

Day 1: Aswan - Kom Ombo - Gebel el‑Silsila

Pick up in Aswan, then head to the river to board Akhnaton Dahabiya and settle in. Lunch is served on board before you begin a smooth sail along the Nile toward Kom Ombo. On arrival, your guide escorts you through the impressive twin temple dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris, a standout monument from the Greco‑Roman period. Later, continue cruising to Gebel el‑Silsila, famed as an ancient sandstone quarry, where rock‑cut chapels and carved scenes honor rulers such as Horemheb, Seti I, and Ramesses II. Return to the boat for dinner, and spend the night moored in the area.

Day 2: Edfu - El‑Fawaz Island

After breakfast, sail onward to Edfu, a riverside town known for the remarkably preserved Temple of Horus. Dinner is served in the evening, and you’ll remain overnight in Esna.

A representative will meet you in Luxor and transfer you to Esna to begin your cruise. Board Akhnaton Dahabiya and enjoy lunch as the journey gets underway. As the dahabiya sails toward El‑Kab, take in the calm river atmosphere, fresh Nile breezes, and the gentle movement of the water. Dinner is served on board, and you’ll stay overnight near El‑Kab.
