Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Aswan – Tour of the City

Your cruise experience begins upon arriving in Aswan, where you will be met and assisted, then driven to the Steigenberger Regency in a private air-conditioned vehicle. After completing check-in, enjoy lunch served on board. Later, head out to see the Aswan High Dam, the landmark 1960s project built to manage the Nile’s yearly floodwaters. Continue by motorboat to Philae Island to visit the beautiful Greco-Roman temple devoted to the goddess Isis. Finish the afternoon at the granite quarry to view the enormous Unfinished Obelisk, still lying where ancient craftsmen left it. Return to the ship for dinner and a calm evening in Aswan.

Day 2: Temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu

Explore the tombs and admire their artwork and symbolic scenes. Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, an elegant monument carved into the cliffs. End the tour with a stop at the Colossi of Memnon, the towering statues that have watched over the area for millennia. Return to the cruise for lunch and a restful afternoon on board, followed by dinner and overnight in Luxor.

Continue to Luxor Temple, celebrated for its harmonious design and layers of inscriptions left by successive rulers.
